|
|
After spending about two weeks following the Virtual Mailhosting Guide
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/virt-mail-howto.xml
And being unable to get Postfix to SASL AUTH users accounts stored in a mysql user database, even though testsaslauthd -u <username> -p <password> works, I think I have finally given up.
I was wondering if anybody has tried compiling SASL with Authdaemond support and used this as an authentication mechanism for doing Postfix SASL AUTH. I have only seen very limited documentation, and I don't think any of the Gentoo SASL Packages have AuthDaemon support activatable via portage.
My Courier IMAP does not seem to have any problems authenicating accounts with the mysql database using authdaemond, so I was hoping this might be a viaable option.
Has anybody who is having problems with the virtual mailhosting guide tried this? _________________ Brent |
