OK.. I'm going to go insane.. I know that my ATI card and Xorg work together. Just two days ago I had direct rendering enabled. Since then I've had to reinstall my Gentoo system and for the stinking bloody life of me I can't get this thing to work again. I've tried using the internal AGP module, I've tried using the kernel AGP module (both compiled as a module and compiled into the kernel). Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong this time?
AGP info from dmesg

sunflower1 root # dmesg | grep -i agp

The rest of your log would be helpful. Try increasing your AGP aperture size to 128MB. _________________ Per Ardua Ad Astra

errr.. not sure why the rest of the logs pooped.. but I have it fixed.
In case anybody else has the same problem I had to enable preemptive kernel .. I don't know why.. but enabling it worked.. which I'm sure will lead to another problem.. resier4 freezing.. |
