hi,
I have a non-pure udev system now and wanted to try the pure udev side of gentoo. My question is: once I set RC_DEVICE_TARBALL="no" in /etc/conf.d/rc, is it possible to go back just by setting that variable to "yes" again ? or will I definitively loose the devs saved in the tarball
Thanks in advance

Hi,
It should be no problem. The tarball is saved on the system.
So if you set it to yes later it use it.

Thanks for your reply. I know it is saved but I want to be sure that the tarball does not get deleted when switching to pure udev. |

That was something I probably needed to clarify on the Udev Primer. Added the info. _________________ Support bacteria – they’re the only culture some people have.”
