|
|
hi.
i'm trying to compile a full x86 system on my amd64 but when it comes to the kernel configuration, i've got the choice between 3 processor families : opteron/athlon64, intel x86-64 and generic x86-64.
due to some weird problem, i've had to start my install with a 2004.2 amd64 bootable cd, but i downloaded the stage3 on the internet.
my make.conf :
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLASG="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
why can't i access to "duron/athlon" family ? |

So, your sistem is 64bitted. You had to use x86 stages... _________________ minimalblue.com | secgroup.github.io/ |

# linux32 make menuconfig
should do the trick... |

if you are talking about the system loaded from the cd so i can do my install, yes it is 64bits.
but, as i said, i used the cd only to boot. i downloaded x86 stage3 from the internet instead of using the old amd64 stages which are on the cd. moreover my cflags are done (or so i think) in order to compile just as a athlon-xp would do, so i suppose my system is 32bits ... or am i missing something ? |

Ok sorry... i didn't understand very well your previous post...
Now it's quite strange because your system HAS to be 32bits if u just used an x86 stage3 0_o _________________ minimalblue.com | secgroup.github.io/ |
