Voilà lors de ma dernière installation de gentoo je suis passé à métalog,
et bien metalog il me plait pas, mon choix est fait... !
Je préfères revenir à syslog-ng que je trouvais plus clair.
Mais c'est quand même les logs,
pensez vous qu'un | Code: | | emerge -C metalog && emerge syslog-ng |
soit sans conséquences ?
Plus fondamentalement : le logiciel de log doit-il être unique (je peux peut-être installer les deux) et mérite il un traitement spécial ? |

ça va marcher mais il va se plaindre car il aura 2 scripts dans init.d qui fournissent le service logger, alors tu arrêtes metalog,
tu unmerges, tu | Code: | | rc-update del metalog default |
tu supprimes le /etc/init.d/metalog
et tu emerges syslog-ng
puis tu le mets dans le runlevel default et tu le démarres

bon le passage s'est bien effectué !
maintenant j'aimerai bien faire le vide dans mon /var/log
si je vide ce répertoire en le sauvant autre part, tout sera recréé comme il faut ?
je doute que ce soit une brillante idée perso :s

tu peux virer le rep everything c'est metalog qui fout des trucs dedans, les autres je sais pas.
