agp and pci card together: how to set up right?

hi all,

i have in my shuttle sn41g2 barebone a ati radeon 9700 pro installed.
Its 2d quality however is not really astonishing.

i would like to use it only for 3d games, while having my desktop under the PCI Matrox Millenium.

So far i used gentoo only with the ati card. direct rendering and all is working.
what do i have to change in XF86Config-4 and elsewhere to be able to switch on which card i want to start X and get it working right ? Can someone help ?

ps. i dont plan to use 2 monitors at the same time though.
