I've upgraded to the 2.6 kernel from 2.4. Now 1/2 my usb ports don't work, and iptables doesn't load. If I try to start iptables I get this error: FATAL: Module ip_tables not found. I haven't noticed any errors about usb.
I used genkernel, and have tried to add to that with menuconfig. My guess is that a few drivers are missing from my selections, but I've been through everything don't see anything related to iptables or usb that dosn't look relevant and unchecked.
Can anybody recommend good reference material so I can learn how to do this properly, I've read docs at tldp, and gentoo but I still can't find what I need. Help!
Thanks,
Jake |

jvanus,
Most of the help you need is embedded in the kernel configuration utility itself.
If you have a GUI, try or since you get the help in the window without having to click a button every time. _________________ Regards,

Thanks much,
