retarded feature, but thank you for the solution.

Now only if all my icons showed up in things like the settings manager.

Yeah, I'd prefer it without, but never mind. And there's discussion about the icons issue on the Xfce4-dev mailing list at the moment, in this thread. Bug reference here.

I found another report earlier on this and they blamed it on vector graphics stuff and gtk2. All of the propose solutions present were already enacted (such as certain svg libraries), or just didn't work. This is the one major annoyance. I think I need an account there so I can post about other little things too like the battery monitor not reporting properly with 2 batteries.

New version fixes the icon problems but is currently missing some of the extras, including battery monitor so I can't see if its changed.

I've got a question for anybody using this...

I originally had torsmo start automatically with Enlightenment before I switched to this new RC by inserting
Code:
torsmo &
into /etc/X11/Sessions/enlightenment. When I try this in XFCE, I see torsmo displayed in the few seconds before XFCE kicks in, but then it's covered by whatever manner XFCE uses to draw on the root window. Starting torsmo from a command prompt works just fine. Does anybody know of a way to get Torsmo to start automatically with XFCE and actually work?
create folder in users home direc called Desktop/Autostart and sym link the files there mines got symlinks to these there
Code:
amsn  gaim  torsmo-cvs  valknut  xfce4-iconbox
works fine here
