Hello
I am trying to set up gentoo 2004.2 on an old computer with a k6 350 mhz cpu.
I use stage 3 from here: ftp://ftp.du.se/pub/os/gentoo/releases/x86/2004.2/stages/x86/ and a 2.6.8.1 kernel.
My problem is that when I try to compile the kernel I keep getting errors:
The first one i got was: include/linux/thread_info.h: In function d_drop.
I solved this by disableing: Device drivers -> Networking support ->Networking options -> Ip: multicasting (I don't know what it is so I hope that it is not needed)
Now I have this one: include/linux/thread_info.h: In function 'sk_dst_get'
Am I using the wrong stage?
If no what do I then have to disable in order to fix this error? |

I have some new info:
It says that it might be a hardware or an os problem. First I tried with fedora and it gave me the same error, so it has something to do with my hardware.
If I look at the output it gives to the screen I can see that it is in the middle of all the IDE things that it fails.
I really hope that someone have an idea which can help me |
