Well, I compiled twice and I still have this error,
It it cannot find the light.o file and it stops compiling there. What is going on?

have my log! Anyways, I watched it compile and I knew it would crash and found where it went wrong. If anyone wants the complete log file let me know and I could e-mail it. I will post the relevent parts:

Let me know what you guys think...
I think this might be just a software bug.
Also could this be a kernel problem? Maybe I clicked a bad option in my kernel menuconfig?
Thanks again so much! I really appreciate everything,

A few possibilities that come to my mind:
1. you overclocked you system into oblivion
2. your memory is defective ( check it with memcheck86.bin, if it doesn't tell you about errors after 15-20 min my experience is that there are none)
3. a heat problem
in any of these cases I would expect your machine to crash during kernel-compilation too...weird
more mature ideas anybody?
regards,

Well...
1) I do not overclock....perhaps I should "underclock" to compile...
2) Maybe.....its expensive(was) 256 mb PC133 ECC ram
But I have it in Slot 2.....
3) My temperatures are
23C system
30C CPU
So...yeah....ideas?
