allora ... diciamo che dopo un pò i temi di gnome stufano.
volevo provare Smooth su mio pc e allora ho fatto:

e

però ... lanciando Switch2, prima di darmi l'interfaccia, in consolle esce:

ripetuto alcune volte
e alla fine smooth non è tra i temi.
Anche scegliendo tra altri temi ... la finestra di preview rimane invariata (infatti ce ne sono che non ho neppure installato.
- Ma switch propone anche temi non installati?
- Come faccio ad avere smooth?
- per installare un tema da Switch ... devo dargli in pasto il file tar o lo devo decompreimere ... o in alternativa ... in che cartella devo infilare i temi?
edito: ora ho emerso la versione masked di smooth ... l'errore non me lo da piu ... ma smooth non risulta comunque tra i temi |

Anche a me switch con qualche tema mi da qualche warning... ma tutto sommato è una versione RC.
Comunque per quanto riguarda il tuo problema, è abbastanza semplice. Tu hai installato l'engine smooth, che non contiene il tema.
Per installare un qualunque tema, vai su art.gnome.org -> Desktop Themes -> Applications... ti scarichi il tema che vuoi e lo decomprimi in /usr/share/themes/DIRECTORY_TEMA. Così dovresti vedere il tuo tema in switch2 |

| per icone vale la stessa directory? gnome theme manager non mi ha installato mai neppure quelle |
