|
I have bought me a promise sataII 150-tx4 controller but the tx4 driver doesn't work, supposedly only for sata-tx4. Promise have drivers out - but they are packages for red-hat and suse.
What can I do to get them up and running in gentoo-dev-sources kernel 2.6.9-r1?
I also have a maxtor sata-150 controller(basically a promise controller with the maxtor name) with two sata ports and a udma133 port - I can't get the udma133 controller working - I don't know what driver it should be using alongside the sata driver which does work. |

I was thinking of something that have a chance of working with a 2.6.9 kernel - I don't think those rpms will - I need some sourcecode I can compile with the kernel. The source at promise.com is for a 2.4 kernel |
