Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to create a shortcut in konsole from KDE for the "Root Console"?
Greetings,

Don't understand the question.
A shortcut to start "Konsole -Super User Mode" ?
It's a simple command "konsole --type su" , If you want a keyboard shortcut run "kmenuedit" -> System -> More Applications -> Terminal Program -SuperUser Mode"
Try to explain a little better exactly what you wan't us to help you with. _________________ Homepage : http://paul.kde.no Jabber ID : tenfjord@jabber.org

There exists also a nice kicker applet that has shortcuts for starting konsole in user mose, super user mode or even a konsole with screen already started to save space on the kicker panel. Quite handy.

You mean the "Add > Special Button > Terminal Sessions"?
Nice, thanks for the tip.
But I would like to do most stuff with the keyboard. I have looked at "Settings > Configure Shortcuts" in konsole, but I have not found the choice to create a new root console, just for the normal shell. |

I think the poster before me was guessing right what you wanted. Keyboard shortcuts to start programs can be defined in 'Regional Settings...->Keyboard Shortcuts' in the KDE Control Center. It is the second tab. There you can choose to start programs via shortcuts who are in the application menu, as the poster said.
Bye, Valentin. |

I try
Well I want in the program itself to launch a "root console".
I know it should be possible to launch konsole from KDE with a "root console" but I like to do that in the program itself. |
