Hello,
This is the best forum I could think of asking this question in.
On the front page, Daniel Robbins talks about some articles on making firewalls from scratch:
Quote: | You may find my two-part Stateful iptables firewalls series to be useful if you'd like to learn how to design a stateful Linux firewall from scratch -- and what all those netfilter iptables commands actually do |
I was just curious to see where these articles are, since I cannot find them by doing a search. Does anyone have direct links ? |

There's this, which teases a link that says "registration required" to something that looks like what you're seeking. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Thanks I have already read that, but it is more about firewall scripts, not actually creating a firewall from scratch.
Since I am considering using Gentoo for a new firewall machine, I thought I might take a look at drobbins' articles to see what they had to say |

Did you see the "stateful firewalls" link near the end? It has a FIXME in it when I look at it, but I thought that might be because I turn Javascript off. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
