Hi!

Ersteinmal muss ich sagen das mir dieses Forum schon gut
weitergeholfen hat ohne das ich einmal Posten musste.
Und jetzt habe auch ichs endlich geschafft Gentoo Linux 2004.2 zu installieren. :D

Allerdings hakt es jetzt bei mir mit der Installation von gnome.

Also nach der Installation von Gentoo hab ich xfree installiert, xf86config ausgeführt, startx eingegeben und
Windowmanager(ich glaub twm oder so)ausgeführt und es klappte.

Dann nvidia-glx und nvidia-kernel installiert, startx ausgeführt und es klappte immernoch(mit nvidia Logo).
Als nächstes Gnome von der Package CD(für athlon xp) als GRP installiert ohne das irgendwelche Fehler auftauchten.
So und jetz wollte ich als nächstes GDM starten und er schickt folgeneden Error:

cannot open shared objectfile: No such file or directory


oder die selbe Meldung nur anstelle von "gdm:" steht da
"/usr/bin/gnome-session:" . So stehts in der Datei gnome.errors oder so ähnlich.



..und wenn ich startx eingebe dann klappts auch nich dafür hier mal das Logfile:

Ich hab zwar schon verstanden was das bedeutet. Aber wo hab ich was falsch gemacht? Wozu gehört diese Datei? Kann ich das irgendwie herausfinden ? Warum fehlt die? Bei der Installation kam es mir nicht so vor als ob da etwas falsch gelaufen ist. Oder hab ich komplett irgendwas vergessen zu installieren??

Du hast 2004.2 installiert und aktualisiert, bist jetzt also auf einem neueren Stand als 2004.3. Da ist es doch einleuchtend, dass es Probleme gibt, wenn Du GRPs installierst, die fast vier Monate alt sind.
