I really need help with this ssh problem.
I have a windows machine which I use to login into my linux box.
I can't seem to log in using putty via ssh. I keep getting a network error. Connection refused. But I can get into my server using cygwin using the XWin command. I can only ssh within the localhost. Both my machines are behind the same router. I have open the port on my Windows machine and haven't set up my firewall for my gentoo box.
Been looking through the forums but can't seem to find anything that works.
I am still a n00b in this. Could anybody help me in this? ![Crying or Very sad ](images/smiles/icon_cry.gif) |

Finally found the problem. Made a foolish mistake. Forgot that I set the listen address in my sshd config file to my local address only.
Big dumb one for me. ![Embarassed ](images/smiles/icon_redface.gif) |
