This is a follow up to a previous post I had made about the kernel compile not using the CFLAGS settings. I manually edited the Makefile for my 2.6.9 love kernel and I have now made that my default kernel on boot. I have not had a single system crash with it(I did have system crashes before that either)
I would like to know what benchmark tools are out there to see if tweaking this makes a difference.
PS I added
-march=athlon-xp -mtune=athlon-xp
to the setting CHOSTFLAGS
