When I tried to use timidity on my mother's computer, I got the following message:
| Code: | timidity: error while loading shared libraries: libXaw3d.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After I installed Xaw3d-1.5-r1, I still got this message and I saw that there was only libXaw3d.so.8.0 installed; my brother told me to make a symbolic link to that library and do
After I did this, I am still getting the same error. On my computer, I have the same version of Xaw3d, but there I have only libXaw3d.so.7.0, not libXaw3d.so.8.0 and timidity works fine there. |

try emerging gentoolkit
then run revdep-rebuild
