Today I decide to give a try the new Gentoo release because my old debian installation is dead (XFS fault) but encounter a realy ugly problem at the begining.
I connect to the internet using RTL8193 based PCI network card but it seems a module for this card is missing from the 2004.3 minimal iso image :/ Then this makes a bit "dificult" to setup a network.
I wonder maybe I miss something. Anyone see any solution for me ? |

Uhm, yes We should enable more than just the usual interfaces in future.
But you can install Gentoo using the universal LiveCD, do a netless installation and compile a kernel with that card enabled. After that you can recompile your system, if you want. But it should be fine without. _________________ hacking is not a crime |
