cx23416/cx23880 tv tuner card help

I recently purchased a KWrld hardware mpeg tuner card from newegg. The chips on it are both conextant based, so i figured they would be supported.

I looked around the net for two days now, and have not had much luck finding information.

These are the chips on the card:
broadcast decoder cx23880-19
mpeg II a/v encoder cx23416-12

from what it looks like http://www.foks.8m.com/cx88-blackbird.html here, the mpeg encoder is still being developed. Sucks for me.

Question is, can i use the broadcast decoder directly?

Any help or pointers anyone has would be appreciated.
