Hi gang. I've done some research here, but I can't really find any hints as to how to proceed.
I have a fully-updated gentoo system, with the latest version of ALSA (1.0.7), and everything is working fine -- except that my sound output is maybe a quarter of what it was when I used this card in Windows. I've fiddled with all eight hundred alsamixer options, kmix, aumix, to no avail. To watch a DVD or listen to music I have to crank my speakers almost three-quarters of the way up, when before I had to do maybe 30 percent of that.
Do any gentoo'ers have any experience with this? I know the speakers are plugged in correctly as well (green input), so I'm at a loss. |
