Well, trying to do another install of gentoo 2004.3, this time on my girlfriend's computer, I can't install this package (db-4.1.25), the mirror that is found doesn't seem to have the package... How can I get it to install (is there a way to force a mirror site?) typing this into links2 by the way...

i can easy download it from the mirror i use: | Code: | /usr/bin/wget -t 5 --passive-ftp ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/distfiles/db-4.1.25.tar.gz -P /usr/portage/distfiles/
/usr/bin/wget -t 5 --passive-ftp ftp://sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/distfiles/patch.4.1.25.1 -P /usr/portage/distfiles/ |
you could emerge app-portage/mirrorselect and then select the mirror you want to use.

| Thanks, I'll did that... I just don't know why a mirror to which I could connect did not have package... portage should be able to switch mirros if they don't have the e-builds you're looking for. |
