Beh installa cups e poi dai
| Code: | | # /etc/init.d/cupsd start |
poi apri un browser e metti localhost:631 e vedrai che sara' facile

con le hp devi quasi forzatamente usare i driver hpijs li trovi sul sito

ma sono anche nel portage tree.

ho seguito alla lettera la guida ma quando vado a fare la stampa della pagina di prova da cups(nel browser)

per ogni problema guarda il log di cupsd!!
Cmq aehm.....scusa se è una stampante USB perchè usi /dev/lp0 (device che di norma è associato alla periferiche su porta parallela)

Non risolve il tuo problema ma se non vuoi usare l'interfaccia web c'e' anche:

Devi cercare nel .config del kernel se hai compilato quel modulo che ti serve se usi una stampante usb...puoi fare semplicemente

e vedi cosa ti dice...
@X-Drum: non intendevo risolvere il problema in quel modo, ma semplicemente secondo me e' + comodo configurare CUPS con quel tool rispetto all'interfaccia web!

OK, allora e' compilato. Quindi a questo punto quando vai ad installare la nuova stampante e ti chiede che tipo di device utilizzare tu digli USB1 (o altrimenti altri numeri, ma penso 1 vada bene) e poi continua...
PS: se usi gnome-cups-manager dovrebbe avere anche una sorta di auto-detection...ma a pensarci bene anche l'interfaccia web dovrebbe averla!!!

ok credo di averla configurata
se non sbaglio dovrebbe stare in /dev/usb/lp0
però quando vado a fare la stampa della pagina di prova mi dice:

la stampante funziona però nel cups c'è una stampante che non ho mai istallato....se la cancello si ricrea da sola...
come la cancello definitivamente?
la stampante che si autoistalla è EPSONStylusPhoto830U
se faccio le proprietà non mi dice nulla |
