Boot into single user mode to affect repairs. At your boot prompt enter Code: | <kernel name> single |

OK, I`m in a single mode. But:
when I booting my PC, the computer freezes near by loading ALSA modules.
Code: |
Entering run level 3:
*Loading ALSA modules ... [ ok ]
* Loading snd-card-0
* Loading snd-seq-oss
_
|
And only one what can I do is CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart ;o)
You need any informations? (because /etc/init.d/alsasound) is a too long file for a this forum ;o) _________________ Many regards |

Boot to single user mode and remove the alsasound link from /etc/runlevels/default. Hopefully your system will boot but, without alsa running. From there you may be able to troubleshoot by:
Checking your boot logs for alsa errors.
Try loading the modules by hand. Check dmesg for errros.
Try starting alsasound by hand. Check dmesg and logs for erros. _________________ The true guru is a teacher.

A known problem if using module-init-tools-3.1.
Either compile into the kernel or go back to module-init-tools-3.0-r2.
