hey everyone i am pretty new to using mac hardware and i just have a quick question. it seems like gentoo supports all the mac hardware except for the airport card. and gentoo is not good for graphics on a mac. however if i just wanted a server would gentoo be stable enough on an xserve g5 if i just wiped os x server? thanks. |

It is rock-solid on my dual G5 (PowerMac7,2), and pretty fast too. Runs circles around OS X. I did have some problems installing the thing, but PPC64 was very experimental at the time. _________________ Quid latine dictum sit altum videtur |
