Hi all
I'm getting random kernel hangups, telling me:
| Code: | kernel BUG at slab.c:1134
invalid operand 0000 |
and further on telling me that keventd (pid: 2) is the problem.
And then something about killing the interrupt handler.
sorry about the bad error message reporting, but the only time I could actually see the error message was at startup.
I'm running gentoo-sources-2.4.26-r12 (though r9 gave me the same problem). The only thing I can think of which could cause the problem is that I've enabled low latency scheduling and the control of it through sysctl (though I haven't changed it with sysctl); especially because I'm getting the problem after playing games and such (and the last time with booting).
I have the same kernel (low lat sched enabled) on an athlon-xp without the odd problem, but 'm going to disable low lat sched for now (or at least controlling it through sysctl).

And PS: the only hardware change is that I'm using ndiswrapper to run my Linksys WPC54G wlan card, though I doubt that would be the problem, as when it hanged during boot, it wasn't that far yet.
