i am trying to get my laptop to automagically turn off its screen but unfortunatly i have run into a small hitch:
Code:
mark@lappy ~ $ xset dpms
server does not have extension for dpms option

im using xorg-x11-6.7.0-r3 and its enabled in my xorg.conf. but it looks like its not even compiled in (can this be? am i missing something?)

Thanks in advance

You need to add
Code:

Option       "dpms"

to you monitor section in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/X11/XF86Config file.
