Lost the print menu in gimp

Hi All

Today I went to print an image from gimp-2, and no print option anywhere to be found. It was ok the other day, but I have done several updates recently and unmerged the old gimp leaving gimp-2 only. I have re emerged gimp-2 amd gimp-print. But no joy.

Can someone help me get gimp to print again, I have a lot of work to copy from scanner to gimp and then print. I must have done some thing silly during the last day or so.

What versions of gimp and gimp-print are you using?

On my system, I have

$ qpkg -I -v gimp
media-gfx/gimp-2.0.4 *
media-gfx/gimp-print-5.0.0_beta2 *

I am running Gentoo Stable. When I open the gimp, there is no print option, but once I open, say, a png file and right-click...the option is write there under file menu.

# emerge -vp gimp gimp-print

Hi

qpkg -I -v gimp

gives me

gimp-2.0.4
gimp-print-4.2.6
gimp-freetype-0.5
gimp-freetype-0.2-r3

I am re-emerging now so see what happens.

I have loaded an image and right clicked as normal, but no print option. let you know what happens after installing gimp again.

Just re-emerged gimp and the print option is now present.
