Luckily i got me a Dell w/ the M9 card. Unluckily it is not supported by the ATI-Drivers ...
So my question is: Has anybody gotten this beast to work? Maybe on another laptop - it's only the M9 I am concerned with. Does the vesa-driver give you thenative 1600x1200 of the TFT?
Any help would be appreciated ... _________________ Linux is a wigwam - no Windows, no Gates, Apache inside |

I am not sure if it is different than the ati driver, but did you try the radeon driver?

yes, but, unfortunately, X crashed completely - had to reboot the machine to re-gain a proper visual console...
the vesa-driver seems to work now - but accelerated support (even 2D) would be great. _________________ Linux is a wigwam - no Windows, no Gates, Apache inside |
