|
|
hi I get my new xeon workstation 64 bit two weeks ago. Yesterday I finished the gentoo installation
some infos
from stage one
2 x Xeon 64
CFLAGS = "-O3 -march=nocona -pipe -msse3§
USE = "ntpl multilib gnome gtk gtk2 java"
udev system and 20" Display
kernel 2.6.9-gentoo-r6 x86_64
gentoo 2004.3
now my problem....
when I start X with the nvidia driver I see the nvidia screen and afterwards x crashs and I see "colored stripes on the display" and the pc hangs.... I only can press the powerswitch and reboot the system.
Ok I try the vesa driver: works fine, not in the right resolution ( only 1400x1050 and I want 1680x1050)
so anybody have on idea or best to buy a new pciX grafikcard? (It's possible, but don't like it so much...)
It's also ok for me to work with vesa in the right resolution....
thanks and help me please _________________ ask me what ever you want, I do the same... |
