when i emerged perl 5.6.1-r9 i got an infinite loop whit this message:
Select your continent (or several nearby continents) []
Sorry! since you don't have any existing picks, you must make a
geographic selection.

i was getting the same thing. but stopped getting it after i configured CPAN.
just run
| Code: | | bash$ perl -MCPAN -e shell |
and answer all the questions, then try again |
