No aparece en ningun kernel el nuevo vesa,eso si para amd64 ,para los de 32 bits si.Acostumbrado ya a los tropiezos de amd64 en lo q a disponibilidad de software se refire.
Alguien sabe algo?????????

Las gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.9-r6 lo tienen incluido, y es estable en amd64, asi k supongo k si lo tienes.
La verdad es k no se k diferencias puede haber entre un kernel para x86-32 y otro para x86-64. Aparte de seleccionar otro procesador....
Te falla al configurarlo o algo de eso?

El problema es q no aparece la opcion,por ningun lado en la 2.6.9-r1 y pense q la opcion no estaba disponible para 64,voi a subir de kernel a ver q pasa.

Pues he actualizado el kernel a la ultima estable 2.6.9-r6 y no esta la opcion disponible para amd64,pq el parche si esta.Me parece q ese modulo no podra ser compilado a 64 bits sin errores,pq no se me ocurre otra razon.

The patch will not work on 64-bit systems (x86_64 and ia64), because the vm86 mode is not supported for OSes running in 64-bit mode. If you happen to own a 64-bit box, you're limited to plain vesafb. You may still use vesafb-tng's predecessor - the vesafb-rrc patch, though. (it should work with all 2.6.x kernels).

Ademas comenta q el refresco en las nvidia 5900 q es la mia no sube de 60hz y q para subir hace falta andar en la bios de la tarjeta y q es muy peligroso.
