Where in `make menuconfig' does one select the Wi-Fi module `3c59x'?
I found it when I compiled kernel-2.6.9-gentoo-r4, but I'm
somehow missing it in `menuconfig' for kernel-2.6.9-gentoo-r6.
[I don't want to just copy my ".config" from -r4 because it has
other problems.] _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)

I believe that's:
device drivers->networking support->ethernet (10 or 100Mbit)->[*] 3COM cards-> 3c590/3c900 series (592/595/597) "Vortex/Boomerang" support .
I'm not sure if that's wifi though... |

mmontg1,
you answered my question correctly --now 3c59x is found
and loads. Now I discover that a module "dm-mod" isn't
being found, and I'll guess that this is somewhere in
If any kind soul knows where, I will be much obliged. _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)

Thank you nein and mmontg1.
While `make menuconfig' may not yet be tamed,
at least now it is listening... _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)
