I'm using aterm-0.4.2-r7 (but r9 and r11 exhibit same behavior) with enlightenment dr16.7.1.

I have multiple desktops, each with a different background. When I start a transparent aterm in desktop #1 and then move it to desktop #2 it works normally. BUT, if I want to shade the aterm (eg. aterm -tr -sh 40) it will ONLY be properly transparent on desktop #1. If I move it to desktop #2 then the term becomes black. If I start the shaded term in desktop #2, it still shows the background from desktop #1! So something is not updating the buffer in aterm

This seems to be a recent problem too. I'm pretty sure I would have noticed this problem before.

So strange! Anyway, to show you what I mean about the above, here are some screenshots:

Desktop #1:

Desktop #2:

So you see that in the second screenshot, the background from desktop #1 is showing through on the aterm.

This ONLY happens if i use the "-sh" switch or the value:

Code:

aterm.shading: xx

in .Xdefaults.

This is driving me crazy too, because I have no idea what changed so that this should now happen.

If you have any ideas, please let me know...I am anal enough that I will re-install gentoo from scratch if I can't fix this issue. But I really don't want to do that :(

Thanks!
