Im still a linux n00b.
Im at uni and the network ResNet is well locked down. I dont want a tunnel to d/load warez just to view any site i want. So your think porn right? No, im not single and have a decent pr0n colection anyways.... ResNet does not let one view sites with certain "Banned Phrases" ie. too many swear words, sexual references, violence. Which IMO is fucking silly as you have to be at least 18 to be at uni and this has hampered my research a bit. there are no restrections on computers in the uni study network but there are in my halls; im lazy, cant be bothered to walk to open access computer buildings just to view a fucking web page.
I know in XP i can use Http-Tunnel NG on low bandwidth for free and im guessing there has gotta be a low bandwidth option for linux.
????
Im running Gnome.
Thnanks much. |
