I'm having some problems installing the nvidia-kernel package. Portage keeps detecting the wrong kernel version (in the ${KV} variable). It thinks I have crypto-sources when now I am using gentoo-sources. How can I change that variable?

make sure /usr/src/linux is a symlink to gentoo-sources, or the correct sources. also, run 'update-modules'. then try to emerge the nvidia drivers. |

Thanks for your help. Your suggestions, unfortunately, didn't work. But then I realized that my problem was that I forgot to unmerge the old nvidia-kernel packages. Now it works fine.
