I have a little question...
My server is connected to inet and has public IP. I have other PCs and I would like to conect to this server via ssh and run some gui application, i.e. dcguiqt, put some file into queue and run transfers and disconnect from server. Is it possible? Offcourse I would like to connect again and make some changes in queue etc.
I guess VNC could solve this problem?
Oh, this computer is monitorless, mouseless, it is only case.

you can do this very easily with vnc, but you'll need to install X on the machine if you haven't allready. I've not gotten any vnc servers to work before except vino that comes with gnome2.8, but that's mostly because I've wanted to connect to an allready running X session which vino is great for. There are lots of other posts about vnc on this forum that might be able to help you though, search for vnc server in quick search and you'll see them. |
