I am using gentoo-2.6.9-r6 and I have installed Gentoo before and I am pretty much a Linux and Gentoo geek but when I went into make menuconfig /dev file system support was gone. How can I fix this because Gentoo demands /dev last time I checked. _________________ Let Jesus be with you . |

You sure you're looking in the right place? I just did a quick check and it's still there.

The option in .config is: CONFIG_DEVFS_FS

With 2.6 you should be using UDEV. devfs is depricated and will be removed in the future.

ones userspace (udev) the other is kernelspace (devfs). Udev is more customisable also. |
