I'm trying to get the Layman-script to work. I followed the howto on Gentoo-Wiki, which is a copy of the original from the author of Layman. I have followed it to the letter, and it's all really straight forward. I can update the overlays, but no matter what I try, I can't emerge the packaged added in the overlay. Portage keeps complaining about that there are no ebuilds to satisfy.
Apparently there is no link to the new ebuilds in the overlay. But as far as I understoot, layman should do it automatically...
I allready solved the problem. Apparently you can't have an other overlay function in make.conf together with the source line. Commenting out the overlay fixed my problem. |

Hi
I have exactly the same issue.
I can install an overlay, but it is not used.
I tried to comment the PORTDIR_OVERLAY var in /etc/make.conf, but no luck. Is there anything more I have to do ?
