Ciao.
volevo riuscire con il vostro aiuto a capire grub.
hda Lettore DVD --> (hd0,0) /
hdb HD Maxtor --> (hd1,0) /
hdc Dvd-rw --> (hd2,0) /
hdd Cd-rw --> (hd3,0) /
sda Sata HD --> (hd4,0) /
sdb Sata HD --> (hd5,0) /
secondo voi * corretto? |

hd<x>; (x={a,b,c,d,...} -> hd<y>; (y={0,1,2,3,...})
ovvero:
a=0
b=1
c=2
...etc
per gli scsi non so come sono visti da grub, l'unica sarebbe provare a lanciare grub, scrivere "hd" e poi dare <tab><tab> per l'autocompletamento

allora in effetti non ci capisco nulla.
se quando si setta grub.conf diamo hd0,0 lui fa riferimento a se stesso. quindi parte da dovè installato a fare il conto? |

ne dubito
semplicemente quando gli specifichi la "root" (che è la partizione dov'è installato) tutti i percorsi, tipo del kernel, possono essere fatti relativamente alla root.
