First off, i'm a hell n00b, be nice 8)

Ive been playing with SynCE, and multisync. With the current release of the sunce-multisync plug in, there is a bug that synce dosent give evo the timezone for the appt.

As a work around i have set the PocketPC's timezone to GMT, set my system time to my local time, set rc.conf 's timezone to local (im at work, laptop at home, cant remember the exact variable sorry).

Ive set Evo to UTC, and a soft link from /etc/localtime > /usr/share/UTC

So now everything is in UTC even though i'm not. The Syncing works sweet (better than windoze).

My question (yep finally) is, does having everything set to a timezone that im not in (UTC, where as im in GMT+11) cause a problem with anything. I can't really think of anything.

Thanks

Cameron.

As long as you don't use any authentication protocol that keeps timestamps in account (e.g.: Kerberos) I think you are pretty much safe.
