On windows i just hit the Fn F4 key and switch between LCD/CRT but on gentoo it doesnt seem to work right away. The monitor has power but isnt receiving an image. Is this a keymap problem or a gfx card issue? Does anyone knjow how i can get it to work? :)

If I were you, I'd try to run xinerama and work on those two LCDs at the same time :D. That's the real haxor's style of working :P

On my toshiba R100 laptop I use FnFx to enable the Fn-keys. Does any other of your fn-keys work?

There's another program, also in portage, called s3switch. You might give it a try.
