Hi

I´m using gentoo on ppc 7600/132 with some graphics ID 106B, MODEL AAPL,343S1154. I have problem to set my grafical settings in linux. I´m booting using bootx without forceing video settings.

In my Xf86config i have default Depth 16, with resolution 1024x768.
My driver is "fbdev", but I´m not sure if this is the right one, I have to use.

After starting X server, it uses all the time 256 colors, independent of what I set in Xf86config.

Is there any Idea?

And I would like to know, how can I get how much viedo memory it uses.

On my 7600 I used xeasyconfig and Xautoconfig. The xeasyconfig sets X to the monitor settings and the Xautoconfig sets up the adb mouse. I do have 4mb instead of the usual 2mb video memory though.
