I've enabled everything I can to get the theme sounds to work in Enlightenment. But it's not working. I know esd works because I can do a esdplay test.wav and hear the sound. Here's some files that I've messed around with. If anyone can help it will save me a ton. I'm also using DR16
/usr/share/enlightenment/themes/winter/sound.cfg

#include <definitions>
__E_CFG_VERSION 0

I can't think of any other files you might want to see. But let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks again. _________________ It is the fate of operating systems to become free.

My Enlightenment install didn't like sound either... I thought this was more to do with the order I installed things though. Did you emerge enlightenment before you set up esd? I did and it won't work for me (unless you switched them both on together with USE? I'm not sure, I'm a n00b myself )
Anyway, sorry no-one intelligent has got back to you! I just posted a query a couple of days ago myself and I know how annoying it is to see yours go unanswered.
Hope this was of some guidance/use.

I believe I emerged esd before enlightenment. I know esd works because it works fine in xmms. It's just weird that I can't get any theme sounds to work. I'll search around some more but it would be nice if someone knew how to fix this.
Thanks for the reply _________________ It is the fate of operating systems to become free.
