Ho compilato di recente un modulo (hpt374 per il controller raid) dai sorgenti scaricati direttamente dal produttore del controller...
Premesso che con insmod $percorso_del_modulo funziona tutto, come faccio a far caricare in automatico il modulo al boot del pc???

per fare una prova, in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 ho messo:
/usr/src/rocketraid/hpt374.ko
non funziona!

Grazie, ho risolto in questa maniera:
ho rinominato il file .ko i .o e l'ho messo in /lib/modules/2.6.9/build/drivers/serialata
e poi ho sistemato modules.autoload.d come avete suggerito
