Ximian-OpenOffice 1.3.5-r1 is totally non-functional

Hello.

For a while now, I've been having trouble with the Ximian-patched version of OpenOffice.org, where the suite will absolutely refuse to open and then finally quit after about 10-15 seconds. I've recompiled the package and all its dependencies multiple times in the past, but to no avail. It really sucks to not have OO.o available too.

I'm not sure if this happened as a result of a version upgrade or what, although I do remember being able to use 1.3.* packages in the past. It might've occurred after I upgraded to GNOME 2.8.

Any suggestions?

How about trying version 1.3.6?

Nevermind, I fixed this by simply removing .xversionrc from my home directory. Full explanation posted here.
