Hallo erstmal, ich habe auf meinem Sony Notebook PCG-GRX316G erfolgreich Gentoo minimal 2004.3 Intallation gemeistert.

Nun habe ich seit geraumer Zeit das Problem, daß wenn ich ein shutdown -h oder -r now oder reboot ausführe, sich das Notebook nach erfolgreichem herunterfahren nicht mehr ermuntern lässt neu hochzufahren.
Kernel ist gentoo-dev-sources aktuellster!
Wenn ich einige Zeit warte geht es dann meist wieder, aber manchmal kann das auch bis zu 12 Std dauern!

Kann das evtl. mit den ACPI zusammenhängen?

Hat da vielleicht jemand einen Tipp!!!

Es scheint wohl so das es sich dabei um ein ACPI Problem (BUG) im 2.6.9 kernel handelt, denn wenn man googelt, da ja leider hier noch keine Antwort findet man ne menge darüber, leider hab ich meinen Laptop noch nicht zum leben erwecken können!!!

Any Suggestions?

Bitte mit dem bumpen eines Threads mindestens 24h warten.

Zu deinem Problem ne ganze blöde Frage: wie äußert sich das nicht-hochfahren? Reagiert er gar nicht, oder bootet der Kernel und bleibt dann irgendwo hängen? Falls letzteres, wo ist die Fehlermeldung?

So wenn ich ein shutdown -r mache, bootet der Laptop nicht mehr hoch
Auch ein shutdown -h und ein nachfolgendes anschalten des Laptops bringt ihn nicht auf die Beine! Nein es kommt einfach gar nix mehr keine Bios Initialisierung! Black Screen das wars! Nach oben genannten Zeiten bekomm ich ihn wieder an! Aber der Zeitraum schwankt stark!

Auch ein shutdown -h und ein nachfolgendes anschalten des Laptops bringt ihn nicht auf die Beine! Nein es kommt einfach gar nix mehr keine Bios Initialisierung! Black Screen das wars! Nach oben genannten Zeiten bekomm ich ihn wieder an! Aber der Zeitraum schwankt stark!


Mal sehen. Du hast im Kernel local apic support aktiviert, was bei vielen Laptops dazu führt, dass sie nicht korrekt herunterfahren. Folgendes Szenario wäre denkbar (nicht schlagen): du fährst den Rechner runter, der Bildschirm wird schwarz etc., aber er schaltet sich nicht komplett ab. Da er noch an ist, bewirkt ein kurzer Druck auf den Power Button nichts (mehrere Sekunden Drücken würde ihn aber ausschalten). Irgendwann ist die Batterie alle und er schaltet sich ab, du kannst ihn starten.

Falls es nicht so ist, würde ich mal ein alternatives Betriebssystem starten und herunterfahren (Knoppix, Windows, LiveCD) und gucken was passiert. Vom Gefühl her würde ich aber auf ein Hardware Problem tippen.

APM solltest du übrigens auch komplett aus dem Kernel herausnehmen.

1.Doch doch er fährt korrekt herunter, aber er wacht nicht mehr auf so hab ich es im gefühl!

2. Doch er schaltet sogar mehr als komplett ab ;-)!!!

Ich habe ihn übrigens jetzt wieder ans laufen bekommen, habe mal ausprobiert keinen reboot auszuführen also kein "reboot" kein "shutdown -h now" sondern hab einfach Power-Button gedrückt!

Siehe da er ging sofort wieder an, hab zu erst gedacht der CPU wer hinne.
Weil Lüfter auch nicht anspringt!

Nun bin nochmal eben die Kernelkonfig durchgegangen, es gibt da eine Option

ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Management) Support -->

<0> Disable ACPI for systems before Jan 1st this year

Ich denke dieser Punkt ist für mein Laptop ebenfalls wichtig, da er bestimmt schon na fast 3-4 Jahre alt ist!

Dann boote doch mal mit "noacpi" Kernelparameter, was den gleichen Effekt hat. Da APM ja einkompiliert ist, wird dann APM anstelle von ACPI benutzt.

gehts vllt schneller wenn du den akku rausnimmst? hatte mal was ähnliches als ich S3 ausprobieren wollte...strom 10 sec weg und neustarten war wieder möglich

Wegen meines Lüfters, gibt es da einen Fan-Monitor für Linux?

PS:Ich verwende kein AKKU, nur über A/C angeschlossen!

So okidoki alles läuft wieder wunderbar, hatte ein verflixtes prob mit APIC + ACPI!

War nen Fehler in der Osischicht 8 ;-)!

Danke habt mir geholfen, und ich wollt das Notebook schon in Reparatur geben,
daß hät mich bestimmt nen kleines Vermögen gekostet!
