Hi all,

I'm planning to get a wireless USB 802.11b/g card; Could anyone recommend me which cards are supported well in linux based on their experience?

If you want native support, you want something that will work with prism54.org drivers(check their site for a list of cards).

If you don't mind using ndiswrapper, then practically any card should work, though ndiswrapper has some problems lately with committing the essid and key's to the card and connecting to an access point.

Another option is the Intel ProWireless 2200 which has native support at the moment, but the drivers are still very much in development(note, to my knowledge, this is an internal card only)

Your best bet, unless 802.11g is fully needed, is to go with an orinoco or prism based 802.11b card.

Quite honestly, search the forums, and if you want 802.11g, I highly recommend you take a look at prism54.org
