ciao a tutti, il mio problema è il seguente:
ho uno scanner hp3300c che con scanimage, xscanimage funziona correttamente a patto che io usi come device:

--device-name=niash:libusb:002:002

tutti i programmi in grado di utilizzare lo scanner cercano pero tale periferica in:
/dev/scanner
io vorrei creare un link simbolico in /dev/scanner che porti a niash:libusb:002:002, il problema è che non ho idea di come si faccia, cioè non so dove sta niash:libusb:002:002 per usare ln -s, qualche idea?

col nuovo kernel il device dello scanner è stato tolto definitivamente...che programmi è che non ti funzionano?

kooka non lo conosco...io uso ximian openoffice...e mi vede lo scanner con libusb tranquillamente..sicuro non sia un problema di configurazione o settaggi?..per esempio se non si apportano alcune modifiche il device viene visto solo da root

non è un problema di permessi, riesco a scannerizzare come utente il problema è questo:

deve funzionarti anche con scanimage -L

in effetti l'errore stava in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
avevo decommentato la voce
l'ho ricommentata ed ho aggiunto
niash perchè è il backend che uso lo scanner, ora scanimage -L mi da:
