Hello all,
Some Information you might need:
Kernel: 2.6.9-r9
CD-RW: LG4610B
A friend of mine installed gentoo and we are having a problem here we re-installed; remove the 2.6.7 kernel and install thed 2.6.9-r9 but after upgrade we were unable to burn CD's as a normal user we can now only burn CD's as root with cdrecord it seems, we tried alot of things giving the user full access rights to the /dev/cdrom1 etc... but still unsuccessfull anybody have a solution for this? |

First lesson about kernel upgrades. NEVER remove the old kernel until the new one has been fully tested.
It would be helpful if you could provide more information. You did not produce any particular error messages for us. _________________ The true guru is a teacher.
